Formed in 1992 as a division of Mizan Pustaka, the Children and Young-adult Division (Divisi Anak dan Remaja: DAR!) marked its birth by launching various innovative products. In 2003, DAR! was transformed into a separate business entity named PT Mizan Bunaya Kreativa. However, the DAR! Mizan brand, already well-known to its readers, is still maintained. It develops 7 product lines and 28 series, and regularly wins awards from the Indonesian Book Publishers Association (IKAPI). Besides, DAR! Mizan also gave birth to another line: Pelangi Mizan that publishes referential books and exclusive encyclopedias marketed directly to customers. In addition to books and audiovisual products, DAR! Noura Publishing is formed by the merger of two book publishers under Mizan group: Lingkar Pena Publishing House (established in 2004) and Hikmah (2003). It was formally formed in early 2012. During its four-year journey, Noura has published many bestselling books, both local and translated. One of them is Dahlan’s Shoes, the first book in the inspirational Dahlan Iskan trilogy novel, which was welcome with a high enthusiasm from Indonesian readers. Two other titles in this trilogy are Dahlan’s Letter and Dahlan’s Smile. Apart from having sold for hundreds and thousands of copies, Dahlan’s Shoes has also been adapted into a movie. Novelizations of other prominent figures include Athirah by Alberthiene Endah, about the mother of the Vice President of Indonesia Jusuf Kalla.

Mizan Productions, as the name suggests, is a production house. Established in 2008, it started with producing various educational TV programs such as Khazanah Religi Nusantara (The Treasure of Religion in the Archipelago; on Metro TV), children’s TV program, Asyiknya Ramadhan (Ramadan with Fun), Santrizone (on Space Toon), as well as some family home videos.
Soon after, in collaboration with Miles Films, Mizan Productions produced Laskar Pelangi (Rainbow Troops; 2008) adapted from the best-selling novel by Andrea Hirata. It won many accolades and awards both nationally and internationally and beat the Indonesian record of box-office movie with more than 5 million viewers in less than 4-months. Mandira Dian Semesta (MDS) is the distribution company responsible for direct selling activities. MDS targets the middle to up class market by offering specially packaged and luxurious books.
